Whether you simply need routine cleanings or more complex dental care, such as a full-mouth rehabilitation, our team works hard to help you achieve optimal dental health and a picture-perfect smile. As the leading dentist in the area, each of our services is tailored to you, which only makes sense, because your smile is one-of-a-kind. We work with patients of all ages in Baton Rouge and Central City, LA, and the surrounding areas.
Meet the Doctor
Dr. Timothy R. Raborn
Dr. Raborn was raised in the Central area and graduated from high school in 1977. He then attended the United States Air Force Academy for two years before returning to Baton Rouge to attend Louisiana State University to complete his undergraduate studies. In 1981, he was accepted to Louisiana State University School of Dentistry in New Orleans. Upon receiving his degree in 1985, he returned to the Central area to begin his career in dentistry. Dr. Raborn has been practicing in Central since July 1, 1985.
Gentle care, advanced clinical knowledge, an emphasis on cosmetic dentistry, as well as cosmetic enhancing services such as Botox Cosmetics and Juvéderm fillers are some of the things we take pride in offering the City of Central and surrounding areas.
When Dr. Raborn has leisure time, he enjoys hunting, fishing and spending time with his wife, Mary Jo, and daughter, Lucy.
MEET THE TEAM
Barbara Christopher, RDH
Barbara Christopher nicknamed “Babs,” graduated from Loyola University with a bachelor’s degree in Dental Hygiene. In 2000 she attended LSU to become certified in administering anesthesia. Babs also taught clinical courses at Loyola University for five years in head and neck anatomy.
She has practiced dental hygiene for 30 years. Babs worked in New Orleans for most of her career. After Hurricane Katrina in 2005, she joined Dr. Raborn’s staff. As a testament to her excellent professional care, many patients from the New Orleans area travel to Baton Rouge regularly to continue their hygiene care with Babs. She loves her patients as well as the staff and plans to continue working with Dr. Raborn’s office for many years.
Dental hygiene has not only been Bab’s career but an important part of her life. Making patients feel comfortable and smile is her goal!
Amie Fry
In January 2011, Amie joined our outstanding staff at Dr. Raborn’s office. Amie has been a great asset to our staff and helps in all areas of our office. Amie is EDDA and Radiology certified and has been a chair-side assistant since 1991..
Born and raised in Baton Rouge, Amie has four amazing children – Coby, Lauryn, Lindsey, and Laynie. She has also welcomed one grandchild, Tydas James.
Amie treasures time with her family. She enjoys traveling, nature, fishing, music and painting. She takes pride in making our patients feel comfortable and welcome. She strives to create a relaxed and enjoyable experience.
Becca Walker
Becca joined our practice in February 2018. Her experience in dentistry began in 2008. We are super excited to have her as part of our team. Her top priority is that our patients have a positive experience and always leave with a smile on their face. In her free time, she enjoys fishing and spending time in the great outdoors with her family. She welcomes the opportunity to meet you and provide you with an exceptional experience.
Lisa Hatfield
Lisa joined Dr. Raborn’s team of business associates in August 2016. She has specialized in executive office administration within financial businesses since 2001. Her years of customer service experience make her an asset to our team and result in her assuring outstanding care for every patient. Originally from St. Landry Parish, she relocated to Baton Rouge in 1998. She and her husband have lived in Watson since 2008. She is the proud mother of two amazing daughters and has five wonderful grandchildren! In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening with her husband, relaxing in the pool, reading, crafting, photography and has an undying passion for giving new life to all things vintage.
Bonita Stewart
Bonita joined our team in November 2018. She began her career in dentistry in 1991. She received her Extended Duty Dental Assistant certification in 1995 while working in pediatric dentistry. Prior to being here, she was an insurance coordinator in general dentistry. Bonita’s goal is to make her patients as comfortable as possible and enjoy building lasting relationships with them. She is also a licensed cosmetologist.
Bonita has resided in Denham Springs, Louisiana since 2005. She has a son, daughter, and three granddaughters. In her spare time, she enjoys listening to music, gardening, photography, and spending time with loved ones.
Debbie Butler
Debbie joined the outstanding staff at Dr. Raborn’s in June of 2021. She has been in dentistry for 15 years and is a graduate of Delta College. In 2005 she received her Expanded Duty Dental Assistant Certification and Radiology in 2006.
Debbie was born and raised in Baton Rouge. She lives in Central with her wonderful husband who she’s been married to for 31 years, with 2 beautiful daughters and a beautiful granddaughter. Debbie loves spending time with her family, going hiking and canoeing. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, reading, and walking the dogs. Debbie is proud and excited to join Dr. Raborn’s team!
Sally
Sally joined the team in 2022. She graduated from Parkview Baptist and continued her education with her dental assistant certification at the Medical Training College in Baton Rouge. Sally has been in the dental field since 2014. In her spare time, she enjoys watching/playing tennis, reading, and spending time with her friends/family.
